Strategy Development & Roadmap
This tier focuses on decision-readiness and strategic alignment, not ongoing execution.
Includes:
• Review of an existing strategic plan or development of a focused strategic framework
• Goal setting aligned to organizational capacity and external realities
• Assessment of readiness for execution and funding
• Two structured stakeholder meetings to assess organizational health and surface constraints
• Data-informed analysis of priorities, feasibility, and risk
• Strategic recommendations with a clear execution roadmap and prioritized next steps
• One facilitated 90-minute board or board-alignment working session
Most Tier 2 engagements involve 15–25 total hours of combined analysis, preparation, facilitation, and synthesis delivered over a defined 30–45 day period.
Add-ons (Available at Tier 2 or higher only): Add-ons extend Educated Hoodlums’ oversight into execution-heavy workstreams. Implementation may be supported by vetted subcontractors and overseen by Educated Hoodlums for quality, alignment, and accountability.
1. Narrative Alignment Intensive:
• Development of 3–5 core messaging or storytelling assets aligned to strategy. Typically delivered over 2–3 weeks
2. Funding Readiness Intensive:
• Line-by-line review of existing grant or funding materials
• Development or strengthening of a reusable funding narrative.
• Equivalent to up to 10 hours of focused review and synthesis
3. Governance & Board Alignment Intensive
• Half-day facilitated board retreat – Designed to strengthen governance, clarity of role, and strategic contributions
• Includes 3 Prep Meetings and support in developing all relevant materials to execute

Strategy Development & Execution
Includes:
• Finalization and operationalization of strategic priorities
• Translation of strategy into executable systems and workflows
• Communications asset templates (e.g., newsletters, press releases) for internal use
• Weekly 45-minute leadership check-ins with a designated decision-maker
• Responsive strategic support between sessions to address barriers or pivots
• One structured stakeholder meeting per month to maintain alignment
• Ongoing data collection and analysis tied to strategic goals
• Monthly strategic review report to organization leadership that includes:
• Goals and progress
• Key data and insights
• 2–3 strategic recommendations or course corrections
Tier 3 partnerships typically involve the equivalent of sustained part-time strategic engagement, combining leadership access, preparation, analysis, and oversight.
• Strategic narrative oversight and message discipline aligned to organizational priorities
• Design and production oversight of one data-driven long-form storytelling asset (e.g., mini-documentary, mini web series, podcast, or similar) integrating quantitative data and lived experience
• Development of media readiness infrastructure, including internal guidelines for working with media and a tailored press/media contact rolodex
• Subcontractor-supported execution and oversight of communications content across digital platforms, email, and public statements
• Monthly strategic communications planning and review to assess performance, alignment, and narrative consistency
• Defined monthly communications cadence equivalent to approximately 15–25 hours/month of combined strategy, production oversight, and execution support
• Strategic design and oversight of an integrated fundraising and capital strategy aligned to organizational priorities and growth goals
• Development or refinement of a compelling case for investment that integrates organizational narrative, data, and funding objectives
• Design of a diversified revenue mix and fundraising roadmap (e.g., individual donors, major gifts, institutional funding, earned revenue where applicable)
• Mapping and sequencing of major donor and funder engagement, including relationship pathways and cultivation strategy
• Subcontractor-supported execution oversight of fundraising activities (e.g., grant submissions, donor communications, campaign materials)
• Grant management support for projects managed by Educated Hoodlums, including development and submission of required grant reports aligned to funder expectations – Grant management support is limited to reporting and compliance for initiatives directly overseen by Educated Hoodlums and does not include organization-wide grants administration
• Monthly capital strategy and pipeline review sessions to assess progress, barriers, and next steps
• Defined monthly fundraising cadence equivalent to approximately 15–25 hours of combined strategy, oversight, execution, and reporting support
• Strategic design and oversight of community engagement infrastructure
• Subcontractor-supported implementation (e.g., canvassing, community meetings, outreach)
• Defined monthly engagement cadence equivalent to 8–10 hours of combined execution and oversight
• Preparation for and facilitation of one community meeting or event per month
• Ongoing relationship-building with community leaders and decision-makers
• Monthly 1-hour leadership or community-leader coaching session
• Choose 2 Strategic Intensives and Bundle Them
• This bundle allows organizations to select two of the three execution intensives—Community Engagement, Communications, or Fundraising—while maintaining coordinated strategic oversight and alignment with core organizational priorities.
